Women in Property and Construction career initiatives Lendlease worked with RIEP (Regional Industry Education Partnerships) to deliver a Women in Property and Construction Careers Day in October 2023, providing Sydney-based students with insights into these dynamic industries. The day was attended by 25 students from three different high schools who spent the day with our team and learned about the different people and careers involved in the creation of One Sydney Harbour, focusing on female talent. This was a tangible way to showcase our industry and encourage female participation. The students had a great day and it helped to provide career clarity for many of whom have aspiration to join the industry. 10 years of Work Experience at Barangaroo South The Barangaroo South team has hosted Year 10 students on an immersive Work Experience Program for 10 years. In November 2023, seven students from four different high schools joined the team for the program. This program was specifically tailored for female students, arming young women with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to consider and pursue careers in these fields seriously. These initiatives reflect Lendlease’s enduring commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce.
